Much like any producer, I started off with a bunch of free programs that I still use to this day.

 

 

The first is called LMMS. With no buy in or monthly cost, the only limit is the learning curve. On their site is a forum with people that answer questions and share their creations.

Number two is Audacity. A free audio editing program with plenty of features. This one has optional tools that can be bought separately as well.

Third on the list is a video editing software named Shotcut. I use this to make Instagram videos but it is clearly capable of much more.

Lastly, I would like to mention Looperman.com. A free sharing platform I find most of my samples on. It has a great search function and the community is superb.
